Privacy-Preserving Detection of Rare Disease-Associated Cell Subsets via Secure Multi-Party Computation
Published in International Meeting on Computational Intelligence Methods for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CIBB), 2026
Identifying rare disease-associated cell subsets in single-cell data is most powerful when several institutions pool their cohorts, but the underlying patient data cannot be shared. This short paper presents a secure multi-party computation approach that detects such rare cell subsets across distributed datasets while keeping every party’s input private throughout the computation.
